This privacy policy describes how the HPS Research Review (the "site") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit harvardpolishsociety.org.
Information we collect
- Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer) retained for up to thirty days for operational and security purposes.
- If analytics is enabled, a privacy-respecting provider that does not set cross-site cookies.
- Email correspondence retained as needed to respond and follow up on the original message.
What we do not collect
The site does not run third-party advertising trackers, Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, or any data-brokerage scripts. The site does not sell user data.
Cookies
The site does not set marketing or tracking cookies by default. Any cookie used is strictly necessary for site function (for example, accessibility-preference storage when a reader explicitly opts in).
Affiliate links
Outbound affiliate links forward a referral identifier and a sign-up confirmation event to the destination vendor. The site does not receive your personal account data from the vendor as a result of an affiliate referral.
Your rights
European Union, United Kingdom, and California residents have rights of access, correction, and deletion under their respective frameworks. Email editor@harvardpolishsociety.org to exercise these rights. Response is provided within thirty days.
Children
This site is not directed to children under thirteen and does not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be flagged at the top of this page for at least thirty days before taking effect.
